Tsuchiya Masao was a student of SHIKO MUNAKATA and did stencil prints, often of of frolicking figures -children (like here), or kami deities. Some of his works carry calligraphy. Stylistically, Tsuchiya's work is in the bold mingei style, characteristic of much of the work of YOSHITOSHI MORI.
