The series, "Dai Nippon meishô kagami" depicts portraits of famous warriors of Japan. - Here is depicted the famous battle between the young Yoshitsune (Ushiwaka, 1159-89) and Benkei on the bridge, Gojôbashi, in Kyoto where Benkei tried to collect Yoshitsune's fine sword in vain.
