The actor had committed suicide at the age of hardly thirty-one years. The actor is seen in the following roles (from top right to bottom left): top:       as Arashi Otokonosuke - as the magician Nikki Danjô - as Katsumoto middle: as Yorikane - as the wrestler Kinugawa Tanizô - as Dotetsu bottom: as Yashio - as Benkei, followed by a portrait of the actor off-stage.
