She is sitting under a colorful parasol. Toru Shimizu was born in Toyama prefecture. He was a self-taught hanga artist. His style is detailed and descriptive. Series of prints include, "Snow Country" ('Yukiguni') 1971, "Four Seasons in Japan" ('Nihon no Shiki') 1973-74, "Autumn in Paris" ('Pari no Aki') 1974.
