Choki stands out in the history of ukiyo-e as one of the great designers of ukiyo-e, equal, if not superior to his contemporary, Utamaro. His output, though, was much smaller in number and only a few pillar prints are recorded. - Between 1781 and 1809 he signed his prints 'Shiko'.

Reference: Pins, Japanese Pillar Prints, no. 846 shows another (somewhat trimmed) impression of this design by Choki.
