| Surimono from a series of five prints showing women in various occupations against a background
                   composed of flowers, butterflies or birds. The title of the print and the poems are in a fanshaped
                   cartouche, Gakutei's signature in an oblong one. The series was designed for the Katsushika-ren
                   ('Katsushika poetry circle') in the 1830s. A woman kneeling behind a brazier with a black kettle in it. She is holding a pair of fire tongs in her right hand, a cup in her left. A shamisen is lying on the floor behind her. |
